James Del Bianco has a love for helping people and providing them with the prosthetic and orthotic care they need. He began his career in 2001 in a private practice setting working alongside experienced clinicians dedicated to patient care.

Following private practice, James spent three years at The University of North Carolina Hospitals. In this setting, James gained valuable experience treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. Opening Del Bianco Prosthetics and Orthotics was James’ mission from his first day in the profession. He is committed to caring for the patients of Del Bianco P&O. James focuses on providing custom orthotic and prosthetic care in a specialized, individual way. His patients have appreciated his expertise and communication in the fitting of their custom devices.

James is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Surgery at the Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. DPO also hosts medical students from Campbell University that include Del Bianco Prosthetics and Orthotics in their rotations. Medical students benefit from excellent exposure to premier patient care.

His journey began in clinical settings, where his work at leading U.S. research and clinical groups honed his skills in patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration and further transitioned to Director of Clinical Education at a major international medical device manufacturer allowing him to leverage his clinical expertise in curriculum development, business development, and strategic leadership. Followed by a decade-long tenure at a specialized EMR company where she provided education, training, and implementation in the O&P industry. Bari Diamond received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston University, and her Bachelor and Master of Science dual-degree in Occupational Therapy from Touro College. Bari lives in NYC, and previously worked as an Occupational Therapist on an inpatient unit at NYU’s Rusk Rehabilitation for nearly 7 years, where she developed a passion for working with the limb loss/difference community. She became actively involved in several amputee support programs, and knew that she wanted to focus more on that population. On Halloween of 2023, her favorite holiday, she was was offered an opportunity to work for Point Designs, a company that produces and manufactures heavy-duty, positionable prosthetic devices that enhance and enable greater occupational accessibility and functional independence for individuals with partial hand loss or difference. Bari is a passionate and driven individual who enjoys travel, music, food, exercise, and all the adventures life has to offer.

Niles began working in the O and P industry in 2001 as a technician in Gainesville Florida. He started out remodeling lab space and pouring molds and fell in love with the O and P industry. Leonard Industries was incorporated in 2006 and Niles earned his welding certification in SMAG, MIG, gas, and TIG the same year. Leonard Industries has been designing labs and building high quality fabrication hardware dedicated to the orthotic and prosthetic industry ever since.

I began my career as a Physical Therapist specializing in Pediatrics after graduating from the University of Miami. After 8 years, transitioned into the Orthotic and Prosthetic profession receiving my training at Northwestern University. Worked for a small private practice that was acquired by the Prisma Health Hospital System in Greenville, SC. I am an adjunct faculty member at Anderson University DPT program. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 daughters while fitting in as much golf as I can.

Cassandra Delgado is an ABC certified prosthetist-orthotist who is currently the Clinical Director at Prosthetic and Orthotic Associates and Handspring Clinical Services.
Cassandra completed her MSPO at Alabama State University, graduating as valedictorian. She then went on to complete her residency at the University of Michigan.
Cassandra entered the field after her grandmother underwent bilateral limb loss and feeling the desire to give back to the field.
Cassandra leads the team in core lower limb prosthetic and orthotic services and embraces new technology, design ideas, and creativity.
Cassandra is the recipient of the Women in O&P Research Award for her scoliosis research. She currently is an ABC Practice Analysis Contributor, NCOPE Residency Mentor, MSPO Guest Lecturer, and Special Olympics Coach.”

Research Scientist with the Hanger Institute for Clinical Research and Education
Dr. Castleberry is a Research Scientist with the Hanger Institute for Clinical Research and Education. He began in this role after spending time in academia as an assistant professor, and subsequently as a lecturer. Todd has served as a principal investigator and co-author on multiple conference abstracts and manuscripts and serves as an editor for two journals. Todd’s research focus has previously investigated the effects of supplements and exercise in both healthy individuals and individuals with type 2 diabetes. In his current role, Dr. Castleberry is co-investigator on multiple federally funded grants investigating improved outcomes in orthotic and prosthetic care. He coordinates activities across these clinical research studies, analyzes patient reported outcomes and clinical data, and contributes to knowledge dissemination through manuscripts and conferences.

Derek serves as Clinical Specialist and Educator with NuTech Synergies. Providing Educational In-Services, Demos and Customer follow up for each company represented by NuTech. Since graduating from UT: Southwestern in 2015 Derek has worked in varying practices along the East Coast, most recently in the Washington DC area, with history treating patients in a variety of acute care settings as well as rehabilitation hospitals, private clinics, and national military hospitals.

Vice President of Scientific Affairs, Hanger Clinic
Shane is the Vice President of Scientific Affairs. He entered the field of O&P as a technician before transitioning to working as an orthotist/prosthetist, and finally into his role as a principal investigator. Shane has co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts, published 3 book chapters, and presented more than 100 conference abstracts within the field of orthotic and prosthetic rehabilitation.

He is a Fellow with Distinction of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP), and was recognized in 2020 with their Research Award. He has previously served on the Academy’s Board of Directors, and currently serves as the Research Director for the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) and Chair of the Center for Orthotic and Prosthetic Learning (COPL).

Shane has been supported by private grants as well as government grants from the National Institutes of Health and Department of Defense. In addition to his research work, he continues to see patients.
